Levels of permissions
There are four levels of meeting permissions in Powow:
- Meeting Owner
- User with access to manage a meeting
- User with access to view a meeting
- Guest with limited access to view the meeting
Users without access to a meeting will still be able to see meeting properties and Key Items in Powow’s global analytics modules (e.g., Meeting to Meeting) if they are permissioned to the given Workgroup. In personalized modules (e.g., calendar), users can only see meetings to which they have access. |
To become a meeting Owner, you should invite Powow and other participants to the meeting using the same e-mail as registered or aliased in Powow, or using one of the integration. Or another user that makes the invite can set you up as a delegatee of their account. It is not necessary to be the meeting organizer to invite Powow.
All users in your organization invited to planned meetings with a conference tool will be Viewers of the meeting. A Meeting Owner or the other users with access to manage a meeting can also add you to an already existing meeting.
To receive manage permissions, you should be given access by the meeting owner or other users who can manage it. The permissions of the manager vary with whether the meeting is set up with privacy settings or not.
Guests can see meetings using a link shared with them by a meeting owner. Guest neither can edit meetings nor access webapp sections other than the meeting interface. Guest link is available in the access window. The link allows viewing both Discover and Analyze tabs, view the transcript and filter speakers, check out key items, and copy items text, download meeting audio and view the participant's list, view, and download published meeting minutes, review sentiments and the meeting summary as well as viewing the notes Users left.
Delegate Owner
If you wish to pass the ownership of all your meetings to another user in your organization, you can use the feature in your profile settings Delegate Owner.
Choosing a Delegate Owner allows a user to receive all rights for all the future meetings that you will schedule. You will lose meeting Ownership access accordingly. For more information check the Manage Profile Details article.
Table of permissions
Check all access permissions in the table below. The right column will show you the access to meetings that are set up as private, left — meetings that are not private.
Access rights to meetings can be shared only within a Workgroup. |

Private vs Non-Private Meetings
Setting a meeting as private allows users to restrict access and sharing to certain meetings. If you wish to restrict visibility in global analytic modules like Meeting to Meeting and Custom Topics lists, set your meeting to private.
Learn how you can automatically set a meeting as private with Confidential Content. |
The table below shows the difference between Private and non-Private meetings across Powow.
